Innovative Residential Germ-Killing LED Lighting Now Available at Home Depot
Innovative germ fighting LED lighting, with technology first tested in hospitals and healthcare settings, can now be purchased in local retail stores for use in the home. The ground-breaking ellumi™ Bacteria Killing Under Cabinet Light, powered by Vital Vio’s continuously disinfecting VioSafe® technology, is available in select Home Depot stores beginning September 1, 2018.
The ellumi™ antibacterial light is proven effective in protecting against 20+ harmful germs including Staph/MRSA, E. coli, Salmonella, Listeria, mold and mildew too often found on surfaces in kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms, the nursery, and more.
Now easy to purchase and easy to install, this 18″ under cabinet light, with dual-mount option, can plug in directly or direct-wire to a circuit. When it is on, it is working to both illuminate the space and kill germs. The LED technology makes it energy efficient, it has a life of 50,000 hours and is UL certified.
THE SCIENCE BEHIND ellumi™

The ellumi™ Bacteria Killing Under Cabinet light, was initially launched on-line in March 2018. It is available on-line in four (4) convenient sizes (9″, 12″, 18″, 24″), and can link up to six (6) units at a time.
